Security guard in Sorel-Tracy
CHARCO Security is looking for several motivated, versatile security guards who are ready to work on call and have access to a vehicle for various types of assignments in Sorel-Tracy.
If you are flexible, hold a valid driver’s licence, have access to a vehicle at all times, possess a valid security guard licence, and live in Sorel-Tracy, we would be pleased to receive your application.
Description of assignments:
- Detainee monitoring (in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec): camera-based surveillance with no direct contact. You alert the SQ in case of any suspicious behavior. The only interaction with the detainee occurs during meal delivery, through a small hatch in the cell door, with no physical contact.
- Corporate and commercial security : Preventive rounds, access control, customer service — tasks vary depending on the company’s needs.
- Event security : Ensure the safety of participants and the site during festivals, shows, and other public events.
What we offer:
- Schedule: primarily evenings and nights, including weekends
- Status: on-call, ideal for candidates who are flexible and available
Requirements:
- Valid security guard licence (required)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle at all times (required).
- Valid first aid certification
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
- Clear criminal record and ability to pass a thorough background check
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods (4 to 12 hours)
- Ability to write detailed reports (hourly during the day, every 30 minutes at night)
- Strong customer service skills
