Security guards in the Laurentians

CHARCO Sécurité is looking for several motivated and versatile security guards who are ready to work on call, have access to a vehicle, and are available for various types of assignments in the Laurentians region.

If you are flexible, hold a valid driver’s license, have access to a vehicle at all times, possess a security guard license, and live in the Laurentians, we would be pleased to receive your application.

Description of assignments:

• Mobile patrols in Sainte-Adèle : conducting preventive surveillance rounds at various sites to ensure site security, prevent intrusions, vandalism, or problematic behaviour, and respond quickly when needed. Security guards also issue statements of offence in accordance with applicable municipal bylaws.
• Construction site surveillance in Mont-Tremblant: ensuring the protection of equipment, materials, and facilities during the work, conducting preventive rounds, controlling access to the site, and responding to any unusual situation in order to reduce the risk of theft, vandalism, or intrusion.
• Event hall surveillance in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts: providing a preventive presence during events to ensure compliance with the authorized noise level, prevent disturbances outside the site, and respond quickly to any issue in order to avoid complaints from neighbouring residents or municipal interventions.
• Event security between Rosemère and Mont-Tremblant : ensuring the safety of participants and the site during festivals, shows, and other events, including access control, crowd management, and emergency response.
• Hotel security: on-site presence to ensure the safety of guests and staff, monitoring access points and common areas, handling unexpected situations, and providing customer service. The security guard helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Detainee monitoring (in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec): camera-based surveillance with no direct contact. You alert the SQ in case of any suspicious behavior. The only interaction with the detainee occurs during meal delivery, through a small hatch in the cell door, with no physical contact.
• Corporate and retail security: conducting preventive patrols, monitoring access points, providing customer service, and responding according to the client’s specific needs.

What we offer:

• Schedule: primarily evenings and nights, including weekends
• Status: on-call, ideal for candidates who are flexible and available

Requirements:

• Valid security guard licence (required)
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle at all times (required).
• Valid first aid certification
• Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
• Clear criminal record and ability to pass a thorough background check
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods (4 to 12 hours)
• Ability to write detailed reports (hourly during the day, every 30 minutes at night)
• Strong customer service skills
